Here I am just sitting back in the dead man's position where I have little responsibility but to enjoy the water and smile for the picture. Karen is still tending to the Jib and you can see a close up of the cleats (little black knobs) that we fasten the jib sheets (ropes) to hold. You can always tighten a sheet or line through these cleats but never release or ease up through them. You need to snap them up and out of the cleat if you want to release or ease the sheet or line (rope).
