For their first date, they decided to meet at Carmine's, a local Italian restaurant. They liked each other instantly - and all went very well. As the waiter was seating them at their table Spe asked 'Would you mind if I sat next to you instead of across from you?' Jen thought 'what a warm gesture' and knew for sure that she was going to like him.
They talked and talked for hours, closing down the restaurant and finally leaving along with the waitstaff. And as Spe walked Jen home he asked 'Can I see you again?' To which Jenifer replied enthusiastically, 'Yes.'
So the next weekend Spe picked up Jen on a warm late Spring night to spend a romantic evening dining and dancing at Nacional 27 - a fun, energetic Latin American restaurant.
While waiting for dinner, a ring that Jenifer was wearing was a size too big and fell off her finger, hit the floor, and rolled under the table. Spe, being the gentleman that he is, got on his hands and knees and looked under the table to retrieve it. Voila. He found it and handing it back to Jenifer found himself on one knee in the all-too-familiar engagement pose. He said 'It's only our 2nd date and I'm already on my knees handing you a ring!'
After dinner as Spe & Jen were dancing the night away to hot Latin Salsa music Spe asked Jen, 'May I fill your dance card for the rest of the Summer?' To which Jen enthusiastically replied 'Yes!'
