The life and times of the dynamic Speleos, Jenifer and Master George Dravillas Family.
How did Tibby and Nigel take to Baby George's arrival you ask?

As you can see by the picture, the Cats do enjoy their new lounger!

The first day home with Baby George was also a challenge due to Mr. Tibbs (aka Tibby) and Nigel, our two Devon Rex felines.  Previously, no area was off bounds for these two cats that came into the family via Jenifer and that Spe adopted.   Daddy Spe feverishly assembled a Crib Tent which would prevent either of the cats from jumping into the Crib for whatever reason.

Within five minutes of the tent being assembled, the smaller cat, Nigel, did a flying jump onto the top of the tent with his all of his paws spread like an eagle.  Momma Jen screamed and Papa Spe had to carefully remove each of Nigel’s claws which were caught in the netting without tearing.

The outcome of this incident:

1.) Spe did not have to test that the Crib Tent was properly assembled since it just got its first test.

2.) A no-cat zone was established in the Master Bedroom where George's crib is currently located.

3.) In case anyone was wondering, the baby was not in the crib/crib tent at the time of Nigel’s flying wendala but was safely in Mamma Jen’s arms.

The Cats do now respect how protective Mamma and Papa are of George since they now keep their distance from baby any time Mamma or Papa bring him into the living room.  Nigel actually volunteers his assistance by waiting outside of the bedroom door any time George cries to make sure everything is ok and to be  available if anything is needed.

In case there are any parents out there of both felines and babies, this COZY CRIB TENT II made by Tots in Mind is excellent!
