YiaYa (Grandma) Dravillas doesn't allow illness to stand in her way to see her Grandson!
Yiaya (Greek for Grandmother), who is suffering from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, rarely ever leaves her home due to its complications and difficulty for her to be mobile. She however made it out of the house on two occasions in the last four months, Jenifer's Baby Shower, and this day in the hospital to hold her Grandson George for the first time.
Yiaya is saddened because she wants to be healthier to enjoy George and feels that she will not will be a good Yiaya because of her inability to baby sit or take care of Baby George. However, Baby George immediately reassured Yiaya that all they need is love! When they first met, with hardly any words spoken by Yiaya, she was given George to hold. Baby George amazed all in the room when he immediately lifted his head and kissed her on the cheek several times before cuddling into her neck.
Yiaya's advice to George is "make sure you are happy throughout your life"
Baby George definately lifted Yiaya's spirits and eliminated her worries that she may not be a good Yiaya! God willing, Yiaya will have many years of sharing more memories and love with her Grandson!
