Coming to you live from Prentice Women's Hospital at Northwestern Memorial, while both momma and baby sleep, Speleos is sitting at his laptop computer with wireless internet in the room waiting for the next feeding to take place in 20 minutes. For those in the know, this would be the 1:30 am feeding.
Baby George is just such a miracle and wonderful baby! Every individual at the hospital has commented on how he is such as strong, vibrant, and healthy baby...with one of the fullest heads of hair to be seen in a long time.
Papa Speleos commented that the full head of hair is just like his father's...when he was born that is. Baby George is a very peaceful and even tempered and only cries briefly when he is being poked with sharp metal objects.
Grandma and Grandpa Spreitzer, who flew in from Columbus, Ohio, have been touched by witnessing their newest addition to the family and their third Grandson. All of the Spreitzers and everyone else at the hospital cannot get over the resemblence of the baby to his Father which makes a tear develop in Papa Speleos' eye each time he hears the comment.
Papa Speleos has finally come to learn what the miracle of life actually feels like. "When I looked across the room and saw my son there being examined immediately after delivery on the mini-exam table, scale, warming light thing...I immediately was amazed that across the room was something that I helped to create..which had part of me in it...but it was a seperate individual...who will have seperate experiences from me for the rest of his life. Simply amazing!"
